Esther Asuquo, 32, whose estranged husband allegedly invoked a protectorate of millipedes on her residence in Ekpene Ikot Effio Anang, Akpabuyo LGA, Cross River State, following a disagreement, has retreated to the house of another native doctor in the area, Vanguard reports.
The man reportedly had issues with Asuquo, who ran for dear life, but instead of amicably settling the issue, he reported her to a militant group and demanded a refund of the N1.8m he spent on her dowry. The militant group, however, ruled against him.
Not satisfied, he contracted a native doctor to arm-twist her by invoking millipedes on her house. Now, the people of Ekpene Ikot Effio Enang, through their acting village head, Mr. Edem Edet, have made up their minds to banish the husband, a non-indigene, from the town.
