Segun Adeyefa, 18, was arrested by the operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command, on routine patrol of Ikorodu Motor Park, last night. He confessed that before he was caught, he had already duped one person of N3,500.
He said: “My action was prompted when I was swindled by two guys about a year ago by this way. That very moment I promised myself to revenge. I learnt that tactics by understudying the material. The item contained cut-to-size soap, carton and wrapped all together with a cello tape.

Aero Contractors Shutdown Operations In Nigeria
After over five years of been in murky waters due to the diversion of funds and inflation of aircraft price by its the management, Aero Contractors has finally announced its plans to suspended flight operations from tomorrow, Thursday, September 1, 2016, SR reports.
The airline, which was taken over by the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON), took the decisive decision when its current management led by Capt. Fola Akinkuotu as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), could not rescue the airline from going further down.

AMCON debt in the troubled airline has grown to N20 billion from the initial N11 billion in 2011 when AMCOM took it over. With the initial N14 billion, AMCON had 60% shares in the airline and with the current N20billion, AMCON had completely taken over the running of the airline and decided to liquidate it.
The airline has over 1,000 staff including engineers and pilots. The airline before 2011 crisis and AMCON take over, had about 18 aircraft and multiple helicopters, but as at July this year, the fleet had depleted to only two aircraft.

After announcing the signing of Samuel Nlend, 21, four days ago, Ittihad of Alexandria have terminated his contract after his blood test results came out positive for HIV.
Photos of the test results were released and an announcement was made by Ittihad’s media spokesperson. Nlend now finds himself in a messy situation following the club’s decision to go public with the news as this might affect all future moves in terms of getting a work permit.
In contrast, Egyptian laws require a negative HIV test result before work permits are granted to expats. Regardless, the club’s decision to publicly disclose Nlend’s status has drawn criticism.
Nlend is regarded as one of Cameroon’s brightest soccer prospects. He finished the last Cameroonian soccer league season as the top scorer with his former club, Union Douala. He played and scored for the Cameroonian senior team at the African Nations Championship in Rwanda earlier this year.

Eko Hotel Owner Banned from Entering the U.S on the Grounds of Terrorism
Nigerian-Lebanese billionaire Gilbert Chagoury, owner of the giant Eko Hotel in Lagos and the ground breaking Atlantic City, is no longer allowed to enter the United States. Chagoury was born in 1946 in Nigeria to Lebanese parents, but was educated at the Collège des Frères in Lebanon.
According to a report by Los Angeles Times, Chagoury had his visitor’s visa denied last summer under terrorism grounds. Chagoury, who is also a big donor to the Clinton Foundation and has a home in Beverly Hills, California, was denied the visa on grounds that he gave financial support to a Lebanese politician, Michael Aoun.
According to the report, Aoun’s party is in political coalition with Hezbollah, tagged a terrorist organisation by the US. Hezbollah terror tag stemmed from the double bombings in 1983, killing 63 at the U.S. embassy in Beirut and 241 at a Marine barracks later that year.
Following a WikiLeaks publication, Chagoury’s name has also been an issue in Hillary Clinton campaign for US presidency, with Donald Trump, among others, using his link with the Clinton Foundation to accuse the Clintons of offering favours to Chagoury.
