Olamide has revealed his reason for not signing a female artiste.
The YBNL boss has five artistes signed to his label including rappers Lil Kesh, Viktor, Xino Kuti, Chinko Ekun, and Urban Highlife singer Adekunle Gold. He is yet to sign his first artiste, and he has revealed why.
With Olamide’s YBNL dominated by male
artistes, and the likes of Lil Kesh and Adekunle Gold already making a
strong stand in the music industry, the rapper has shut down the chance
of having a female artiste in the label.
YBNL Boss, Olamide who just dropped his
5th studio album “Eyan Mayweather” recently, spoke with Hip TV on why he
won’t sign any female artistes yet due to their ‘’short industry life
span’’.
However, Olamide revealed if he was
going to sign a female artist, she’d have to engulf herself with the
hunger he has, that is the ‘‘hunger for success’’.
