26-year-old Yang Liu and 27-year-old Li Jisheng were never supposed to fall for one another.
Their romantic affair started out of duty as the two members of the SWAT team of Hebi city, in central China’s Henan Province, were instructed by their seniors to pretend to be a couple as they carried out their operations.
The pair, it seems, succeeded in faking it till making it. They recently tied the knot, and their wedding pictures, which depicted them in combat gears and civilian attire, swept the internet.
“The reason for taking wedding photos in army style comes from the fact that this is how we knew each other and fell in love, and I think it showed our authentic lifestyle as members of the SWAT team,” the newly-wed bride said.
style="text-align: justify;">In the photos, the couples alternated between rough and soft looks. They could be seen in Special Forces’ outfits as they held guns; and in mushier shots as Yang switches to a puffy white gown while Li leans from a fence to present a bouquet of flowers to his beloved.
